Report on the 1st Research-theme Sharing Meeting of Kubota-UTokyo Laboratory
A research-theme sharing meeting was held to bring together researchers from both Kubota and the University of Tokyo who are participating in joint research, sponsored courses, and social cooperation courses in this collaborative project.

Round-table discussion was held with President Kitao of Kubota Corporation and President Fujii of the University on April 2024 in Yasuda Auditorium. Through the valuable opportunity of close communication between the both President, Kubota-UTokyo Laboratory renewed the desire and expectations for collaborative project toward the “Bio-Loop” creation that the collaboration project aim to achieve.

The first steering council meeting after the signing of the university-corporate collaboration agreement was held on October 5, 2022, in the University of Tokyo's Sanjo Conference Hall. A total of 17 members of the steering council gathered for serious discussions on issues and policies to be tackled for the next 10 years of the corporative partnership project, including future vision, research, and human resource development.

The University of Tokyo and Kubota concluded a University-Corporate Collaboration Agreement
The University of Tokyo and Kubota have signed a university-corporate collaboration agreement to utilize their knowledge, technology, and networks to resolve issues in the fields of "food, water, and the environment" with an eye to the next 100 years into the future. The University of Tokyo and Kubota will engage in joint research, personnel exchange, and human resource development with the aim of creating a glocal bio-loop.
