The University of Tokyo and Kubota concluded a University-Corporate Collaboration Agreement

The University of Tokyo and Kubota Corporation have concluded an organization-to-organization university-corporate collaboration agreement to promote joint research, human resource development and personnel exchange.

Under the theme of “What we can do for the earth 100 years from now”, this corporate partnership project will utilize the knowledge, technologies, and networks of both organizations in the fields of “food, water, and the environment” to create a “bio-loop”, which will achieve both symbiosis with nature (bio-) and a circular society (loop) in the “glocal” scale, meaning from the whole earth (global) to the regional level (local). The term of this agreement is 10 years from December 1, 2021, and Kubota Corporation plans to contribute a total of approximately JPY 10 billion to this corporate partnership project.
