Kutota-UTokyo Laboratory annually holds a steering council meeting attended by President of Kubota Corporation and President of the University of Tokyo for serious discussions on the vision and direction of the collaborative project.
Besides the steering council meeting, this round-table discussion, on April 2024, in the University of Tokyo’s Yasuda Auditorium, was produced for valuable opportunities for close communication between the President Kitao and President Fujii to promote collaborative projects.
The meeting was attended by a small group of nine people: four from Kubota, including President Kitao, and five from the University of Tokyo, including President Fujii. The lab director, Prof. Warisawa, introduced the progress of the collaborative projects, and then frank opinions were exchanged on the future prospects of each initiative, renewing the desire for corporate partnership.
The collaborative project work on future vision, future technology development, human resource development, and so on. The round-table discussion covered a wide range of topics, including the future that will be created through the accumulation and utilization of various data, its return and implementation in society, and the happiness and health of the people living on the earth at that time. The participants were engaged through a broad and deep discussion for approaches to the concept of “for the Earth 100 years from now.” With this discussion as a driving force, Kubota and the University of Tokyo will work together to promote various initiatives toward the realization of “Bio-Loop” creation.
